His Holiness Karekin II Visits Armen Charchyan

On September 1, His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, visited Armen Charchyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Hayastan" faction and former director of the Izmirlian Medical Center. This was reported to "Yerkir Media" by the professor's lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan.

"The meeting lasted an hour, and I was present at this meeting," noted the lawyer.

Armen Charchyan's attorney has submitted a petition to the general jurisdiction court to replace the preventive measure of detention with bail.

It should be noted that Armen Charchyan's health condition sharply deteriorated on August 24. He has been diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction, third-degree arterial hypertension, heart failure, and severe diabetes mellitus.

A few days ago, he was also visited by members of the "Pativ Unem" faction, Taron Margaryan and Taguhi Tovmasyan.
