The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, has sent a message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Artsakh's independence.

“Dear compatriots, September 2 is a crucial day in our lives. Thirty years ago, during the joint session of the People's Deputies of the Artsakh Autonomous Oblast and the Shakhumyan District Councils held in Stepanakert, the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh was proclaimed. On the path of state-building, we have experienced significant achievements and losses. I bow before the memory of the heroes who fell for the homeland. The human losses are irrevocable, but they also impose a duty upon us. We have a historical obligation to live and create in our own homeland, to build the Republic of Artsakh, guided by our national values and internationally recognized rights.
