Gas Cylinder Vehicles Must Undergo Certification and Inspections: Proposal
The government is proposing to enhance the safety level of gas cylinder vehicles by clarifying the requirements for the installation of gas cylinders, their certification, the organizations carrying out the installations, production bases, and engineering personnel.
This draft law has been published on the unified platform for the publication of legal acts. The proposal specifies that each gas cylinder installed in vehicles should have a valve that ensures their disconnection from the gas fueling system.
It is noted that the operational gas cylinders are subject to mandatory certification. "Periodic certification will be carried out with the following frequency: first type gas cylinders made of alloyed steel will need certification every three years, provided there is documentation confirming the alloyed nature of the steel; otherwise, certification will be required every two years," the draft states.
An electronic database is also planned to be established, which will contain data on the installation of gas cylinders.
