Emergency Incident: 22-Year-Old Driver Crashes Opel into 'Shago' Cow

On August 31, an emergency incident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 8:00 PM, a 22-year-old driver named Aram G. crashed his Opel Astra into a large cattle near the 3rd km of the Getap-Martuni highway, adjacent to the Getap village school.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver was helped out of the vehicle by citizens and received initial first aid at the scene from the emergency medical team that arrived promptly from the Yeghnadzor medical center. He was later transported to the 'Yeghnadzor' medical center for further treatment.

Locals gathered at the scene stated that the driver's condition was satisfactory; however, the large cattle involved in the accident, known as 'Shago' owned by Ando of Shagoyants, suffered a neck injury. Now, Ando is contemplating whether 'Shago' will recover or need to be taken to a butcher.

"True, there was damage to 'Shago', but we are thankful that the driver's life is not in danger, thanks to the caring citizens and the doctors from Yeghnadzor," stated one of the villagers.
