Woman transported to hospital in overturned ambulance in Yerevan dies
It has been confirmed that all victims transferred to the hospital following a major traffic accident in Yerevan on August 30 have been identified. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, passengers of the Mercedes, residents of Yerevan, 32-year-old Tatevik Manukyan and 19-year-old Mariam Melqonyan, were taken to the "Erebuni" Medical Center, while other passengers, residents of Yerevan, 6-year-old Aleks H. and 9-year-old Davit H., who are siblings, were taken to the "Holy Mother of God" Medical Center. Additionally, Nissan driver K. Sukiasyan and his passengers, 28-year-old Khachatur Torosyan and 23-year-old Hasmik Kaghzvantsyan, along with 61-year-old Anahit Misakyan from Kotayk province who was transported in the overturned Nissan ambulance, were taken to the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" Medical Center.
Some time later, A. Misakyan died in the hospital. Among the injured, Kh. Torosyan works as a doctor at the "National Burn Center" LLC, H. Kaghzvantsyan is a nurse at the same institution, and Nissan driver K. Sukiasyan is also employed at the "National Burn Center" LLC as a driver. Other injured include M. Melqonyan, who studies at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences, while Mercedes driver M. Farizyan serves as a contracted soldier in military unit N of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
As determined by the investigator, a series of examinations have been appointed, including a forensic autopsy to clarify whether A. Misakyan died as a result of the accident or had existing health issues.
Yesterday, around 20:30, at the intersection of Artsakh Boulevard and Rostovyan Street, vehicles driven by Yerevan resident, 38-year-old Kolya Sukiasyan in a Nissan registered to the Ministry of Health of Armenia, and 34-year-old Mkrtich Farizyan from Kotayk province driving a Mercedes collided, resulting in the Nissan overturning.
