Dispute Among Villagers Ends in Stabbing: Criminal Case in Court
The investigation into a criminal case regarding the intentional infliction of serious bodily harm by a 25-year-old man on a fellow villager has been completed by the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Armavir regional investigative department.
It was established during the investigation that on September 6, 2020, around 21:30, the 25-year-old man randomly encountered his villager and the latter's friend. They went together in the villager's car to an area leading to the fields at the beginning of the village of Arevshat in Armavir Province to discuss personal matters. During the conversation in the car, a misunderstanding arose between the villagers, and upon reaching the mentioned location, a dispute ensued. During this altercation, the 25-year-old attacked the villager with a sharp cutting and stabbing tool he had on him, intentionally causing serious bodily harm that threatened the victim's life.
This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. Based on a sufficient combination of evidence, charges have been filed against the 25-year-old under part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case, along with the accusatory conclusion, has been forwarded to the court.
Notice: The individual suspected or accused of the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia, with a lawful conviction issued by the court.
