A Serious Car Accident Occurred in Vayots Dzor Involving a Mercedes and a Toyota Grand, Including Injured Minors

On August 30, a serious car accident took place in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 5:20 PM, on the 108 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri motorway, a collision occurred between a Mercedes vehicle driven by 24-year-old Arman Eghanyan, a resident of the Ararat region, and a Toyota Grand vehicle driven by 47-year-old Ara Sahakyan, a resident of the Syunik region, according to shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, the passenger of the Mercedes, 26-year-old Narek Safaryan from Kotayk province, the driver of the Toyota A. Sahakyan, and his passengers – 44-year-old Satenik Margaryan, 11-year-old Eva Hovhannisyan, 18-year-old Mariam Veziryan, and Ani Mnatsakanyan, all residents of Syunik province – were transported to the Yeghegnadzor Medical Center with injuries.

After some time, the driver of the Mercedes, A. Eghanyan, also sought medical attention at the same center.

Authorities are currently preparing materials regarding the incident. Rescuers have disconnected the vehicles from power, sealed the gas tanks, and secured the area.
