Upcoming Days Temperatures in Yerevan Expected to Reach +40 Degrees. High Fire Hazard Situation Anticipated

Due to the influx of tropical warm air currents from regions of Iraq, a rise in air temperature is expected across the republic on August 30, increasing by 1-2 degrees. The highest temperatures will be recorded on August 30-31 and September 1 in the low-lying areas of the republic, especially in the Ararat Valley and its foothills, in the Syunik valleys, and in Yerevan, reaching +38 to +40 degrees.

During those days, a high fire hazard situation is expected throughout the republic. The population is urged to adhere to fire safety regulations.

For the period of August 30 during the day, as well as on September 1-2 and 4, dry weather is predicted without precipitation. On September 3, after noon, isolated areas may experience brief rain and thunderstorms, with possible hail in some places. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 m/s, and during thunderstorms, wind speeds may intensify to 18-23 m/s.

The air temperature is expected to rise by 1-2 degrees during the day on August 30, while on September 3-4, it will gradually decrease by 9-11 degrees.

In Yerevan, no precipitation is forecasted during the days of August 26, 27-31.

According to the multi-year climate data for Yerevan on August 31: Maximum air temperature: 40.1°C (1998), Minimum air temperature: 9.1°C (1988), Average daily air temperature: 22.3°C.
