The Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Would Never Be Resolved Through Peaceful Negotiations: Aliyev's Speech in Shushi
The post-war period and the actions of international powers indicate that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict would never be resolved through peaceful negotiations. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made this statement during a speech in Shushi, according to Minval.az.
“As is well known, the negotiation process lasted about 30 years, but it yielded no results. The current course of events and the actions of international powers show that this issue would never be settled through negotiations,” the source quotes Aliyev.
According to him, the international community attempted to present the frozen conflict as a scenario without alternatives. “However, we have a completely different opinion, and I have never hidden that. I have said that if the issue is not resolved peacefully, we will restore our territorial integrity through military means,” Aliyev stated.
