Russian Peacekeepers Develop Tactics in Artsakh to Detect Drones and Prevent Possible Attacks

Russian peacekeepers have conducted drills aimed at preventing potential violations involving drones in Nagorno-Karabakh and ensuring security at checkpoints along the Lachin Corridor. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the statement, the exercises were held at six training sites. The servicemen developed new strategic maneuvers and actions focused on exiting their deployment areas, boarding armored personnel carriers, encircling a hypothetical attacker, and preventing potential assaults on the observation posts.

Notably, the exercises included tactics for detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

It is worth recalling that on November 9, the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, signing a statement that transferred seven regions of Artsakh to Azerbaijan, including Shusha and Hadrut, except for one village and villages from the Askeran and Martuni regions, as well as the villages of Talish and Mataghis from the Martakert region.
