Aviation Bomb, Cluster Missiles, and Explosives Discovered and Destroyed in Artsakh: Emergency Services

From August 23 to 29, a total of 1,341 calls were registered at the crisis management center of the State Emergency Service, of which 53 were of man-made origin, 55 were socio-domestic issues, and 39 were emergency incident calls. This information was reported by the Emergency Service of Artsakh.

The fire risk continues. Considering that no decline in temperatures is forecasted in the territory of the republic in the near future, the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to take all necessary measures to avoid potential dangers.

Firefighters made 39 outings during the past week. In Stepanakert, 13 cases were recorded, in the Martakert region - 1, in the Martuni region - 10, and in the Askeran region - 12. Calls regarding fires were recorded in the forested area of Shushi and in the Kashatagh region.

During the week, 3 calls regarding traffic accidents were registered at the 911 call center, resulting in 11 injuries. Rescuers, with the assistance of police officers and emergency medical service doctors, transferred those injured to medical facilities. There were no reported fatalities from traffic incidents.

Emergency Service demining teams, alongside deminers from “The Halo Trust” and the Humanitarian Demining Center, carried out engineering reconnaissance operations across Artsakh during the week. One aviation bomb, 3 cluster missiles, and 2 explosive devices were discovered and destroyed.

A total of 45 socio-domestic calls were registered, including 20 regarding water supply issues. Rescuers provided drinking water to the residents of Andranik, V. Sargsyan, Knunyants, Tumanyan, and Martuni neighborhoods.

There were 5 calls registered for patient transfers, 7 for door openings, and 2 for elevator rescues. In accordance with the main event plan, State Emergency Service water rescuers conducted underwater training exercises at the Sarsang Reservoir last week.

Rapid response special unit operational teams made 6 outings to carry out search operations in the areas of Artsakh occupied after the ceasefire. Since then, a total of 1,652 remains have been discovered and removed.
