Syunik is Being Cut Off Right Now and No One Is Interested: Naira Zohrabyan
Naira Zohrabyan writes on her Facebook page: "Syunik is being cut off right now and no one is interested. For the second day, Azerbaijani armed forces have blocked the interstate road from Goris to Kapan, resulting in several villages, including Goris’ Vorotan, Shurnukh, Bardzravan, and a neighborhood of Kapan's Nor Arajadzor, being almost completely cut off from other localities.
Russian peacekeepers are delivering bread and food to these villages with their vehicles. Yesterday, Aliyev stated that Armenia is no longer a sovereign state and is unable to ensure the security of its own borders. Naturally, no one responded to Aliyev, perhaps agreeing with him.
At this moment, the entire burden falls on the Tatev-Kapan road, and cargo transporters between Iran and Armenia must now travel through the Tatev twists, which in many cases is simply impossible. Azerbaijan has effectively cut off the main highway connecting Armenia and Iran with a provocation created the day before, and no one seems to care.
Syunik continues to be sliced off, and there is already a humanitarian disaster in several villages; it is the Russian peacekeepers who are bringing bread. One of Armenia's main transport arteries is 'held captive,' and we are all passively watching the death of the state."
