National Assembly Incident Under Investigation by Special Investigative Service

According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", the Special Investigative Service (SIS) has actively begun investigating the incident at the National Assembly. This inquiry is based not only on the videos sent by the Prosecutor General but also on those published by the media.

Additionally, information obtained suggests that the SIS has even sent a letter to the National Assembly, requesting them to provide footage of the incident recorded by them.

The investigative group of the SIS, which is responsible for preparing the materials, currently believes that a criminal case will be initiated regarding the incident. However, it remains to be seen who will be implicated in the case and in what capacity.

It is worth recalling that the ruling party members, particularly those from the Civil Contract party, were actively involved in the violence. It will be interesting to see whether the SIS will act impartially and hold accountable those ruling party members who engaged in group hooliganism, or if the accountability will only extend to the opposition members of the “Armenia” faction.
