Karapetyan Meets Participants of Quarterly Gatherings

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Arshak Karapetyan, visited the participants of the quarterly training gatherings on August 26. According to the Ministry of Defense, during a conversation with reserve personnel, including privates, junior officers, and senior officers, the head of the defense department urged everyone to make the most of the quarterly training period.

Arshak Karapetyan urged respect for the commanders and the unconditional execution of their orders. “We will do our utmost to ensure that the participants are fully engaged in the daily routines and combat readiness of the units. I assure you that the Government will do everything possible to solve the social issues related to the gatherings,” he emphasized.

The Minister of Defense also visited the field kitchen to check the quality of the food, personally tasting the offered dishes. Arshak Karapetyan also visited the tent camp, where he examined the living conditions of the gathering participants and instructed the military leadership to do everything necessary to provide quality food and proper living conditions.

Subsequently, Arshak Karapetyan visited the newly established Special Forces unit, where he introduced the newly appointed commander, Major General Artak Budaghyan. The head of the defense department praised Major General Budaghyan's contributions to the development of the army and the defense of the homeland, emphasizing that the personnel of the military unit must always be prepared to fulfill their assigned tasks.

The commanding staff was urged to maximize the effectiveness of the retraining of reserve personnel integrated into the units during the quarterly gatherings. At the end of the working tour, Minister Karapetyan visited another area where the quarterly gatherings were held, meeting with reserve personnel and familiarizing himself with the social and living conditions created for them.

“I assure you that my visits will be regular, and the issues related to the conduct of the gatherings are under my direct supervision. Thank you for participating in the defense of the homeland not just in words, but in action,” highlighted the head of the agency.
