Iranian Trucks Facing Challenges Reaching Yerevan Due to Closure of Kapan-Goris Road - Kerebyan

Economy Minister Vahan Kerebyan considers the situation on the Kapan-Goris interstate road to be highly concerning. In a conversation with journalists, Kerebyan stated that professional officials are fully engaged in finding a solution to the issue.

“It is unreasonable for all of us to rush to solve a problem that is already being addressed by responsible professionals. I believe the issue will be resolved soon,” said Kerebyan.

According to him, Iranian trucks do not face problems entering Armenia but do have difficulties getting to Yerevan. “The issue is being addressed through an alternative route, which is, of course, not adapted for heavy trucks, but that route is operational, and cargo vehicles are passing through it. I reiterate, we are very concerned and worried about the closure of this road and are doing everything possible to ensure it reopens,” Kerebyan concluded.
