Government Assigns Its Controversial Squad to the Defense Committee: 'Hraparak'
According to the 'Hraparak' newspaper, the formation phase of permanent committees has concluded in the parliament. Notably, the government has dispatched its most controversial squad to the Defense Committee, which has actively participated in parliamentary skirmishes in recent days and assumed the mission of assaulting opposition lawmakers.
It is known that the committee will be headed by Andranik Kocharyan, while the 'Civil Contract' faction will be represented by MP Hayk Sargsyan, known by the nickname 'Shish Brnogh,' who was part of the economic committee in the previous parliament. The controversial figure Vahagn Aleksanyan, who was the first to kick opposition MP Vahe Hakobyan, and Vilen Gabrielyan, known as the 'Swing Operator,' will also be part of the committee, along with Armen Khachatryan from Syunik, who recently wrote on Facebook about the editor of yerkir.am, calling him a 'freak.'
Others presented include former Deputy Minister of Defense Gagik Melikyan and Kristine Poghosyan. Oppositely, Arthur Ghazinyan from the 'Armenia' faction will serve as the deputy chairman of the committee. The committee's members also include Gegham Manukyan, Gegham Nazaryan, and Tigran Abrahamyan from 'I Have Honor.'
The selection of members for the committee is perhaps natural, as it will serve as the platform for the noisiest discussions, keeping warm the Achilles' heel of the government regarding the topic of the 44-day war.
