Deputy Minister Works Against the Minister: 'Hayots Ashkharh'
'Hayots Ashkharh' newspaper reports. According to information from 'Hayots Ashkharh', the relationship between Armenia's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Vahram Dumanyan, and Deputy Minister Zhanna Andreasyan is not very smooth in recent times. The issue is that Andreasyan had aimed to take the ministerial position after the early parliamentary elections scheduled for June 20.
However, it appears that after the formation of the new government, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan decided to reappoint Vahram Dumanyan to that position. Initially, Andreasyan stated within the ministry that she would resign if a minister was not appointed. Sources from the ministry indicate that Andreasyan is currently unwilling to tolerate the situation and is trying by all means to demonstrate that she is indeed the minister, managing all affairs while Dumanyan remains a decorative figure.
It is worth mentioning that, according to our governmental sources, former heads of the executive office Arsen Torosyan and Eduard Aghajanyan had been working for a long time to prevent Dumanyan from occupying that position again, but in vain. Seeing that she is alone in this struggle, Andreasyan has placed her hopes on herself and is now working 'from underneath' against Dumanyan. We will see how this behind-the-scenes struggle ends.
