When Will the Kapan-Goris Road Open? Information from the MP of the Civil Contract Party

The Kapan-Goris interstate road, which has been blocked by Azerbaijani armed forces, is expected to reopen by the evening, according to Narek Ghahramanyan, a member of the Civil Contract parliamentary faction.

In a conversation with Armenpress, Ghahramanyan reported that trilateral negotiations are currently underway on this issue. “I have been assured that the road will be open by evening,” said the representative of the parliamentary majority, adding that there are no other details at this time.

The MP also emphasized that reports circulating in the media about the evacuation of residents from nearby villages are not true. “Yesterday evening, vehicles on the road were evacuated, but the media reported that residents of the nearby villages are being evacuated. I have denied that,” Ghahramanyan stated.
