Operations of Bread Production Facilities Suspended by Food Safety Authority

The regional inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia have conducted supervisory actions at the bread production facilities owned by the companies ‘Khorranard’ and ‘Vardisho’ in the Gegharkunik and Ararat regions.

“The inspection revealed that in both facilities, production, auxiliary, and domestic sanitation areas were not maintained in a clean, repaired, and proper condition. The walls and ceilings of the facilities were dirty, the sanitary-hygienic conditions in the domestic areas did not meet the established requirements, the staff changing rooms lacked appropriate furnishings, sanitation facilities were not provided with running water, hygiene supplies were absent, and the personnel involved in the food chain had not undergone mandatory periodic medical examinations,” the Food Safety Authority noted.

The supervising body has suspended the operations of the mentioned bread production facilities, stipulating a timeline for the elimination of the violations.
