Lawyer Discusses Gevorgyan's $100 Million Wealth and 57 Properties in Central Yerevan

Erik Aleksanyan, the lawyer for Armen Gevorgyan, has responded to the statements made by Khachatur Sukiasyan in the National Assembly yesterday. He stated:

“Yesterday, during a speech at the National Assembly, member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, MP Khachatur Sukiasyan, claimed how it has happened that former Deputy Prime Minister and current MP Armen Gevorgyan, who has never been involved in business, has acquired a fortune of $100 million, and has 57 properties in Yerevan's Kentron district.

I want to inform you that the statements made by the mentioned individual are absolutely false and defamatory. Both Armen Gevorgyan and his legal team have repeatedly publicly refuted this misinformation.
Even if this individual has based his statement on a report circulated by the RA Investigative Committee months ago, I must emphasize that the report does not mention the existence of $100 million in any way. Therefore, it is clear that a manipulation of public opinion is being attempted by this MP. Furthermore, this individual is simply engaging in the usual manner of lying and spreading falsehoods characteristic of his political team.

In the end, it is astonishing how a businessman does not possess basic accounting culture. We assure you that statements of this nature will lead to legal consequences.”
