Defense Ministry Clarifies Loan Repayment for Reservists Participating in Exercises

Today, on Public Television, the head of the Recruitment and Mobilization Service of the RA Ministry of Defense, Colonel Armen Avtandilyan, addressed the issue of how reservists called up for three-month training exercises starting on August 25 will manage their loan repayment obligations. This is particularly concerning as, during their service, their military pay is significantly less than their regular monthly income due to their rank.

According to the Defense Ministry representative, this issue is not regulated by law, and the Ministry of Defense will be responsible for salaries based on military ranks. He specifically stated, “We will discuss the issue, report it to higher command, and try to appeal to the government to develop solutions for this problem.”
