US State Department Faces New Cyberattack

The US State Department has been subjected to a new cyberattack in the past week. The risk level for internal operations is currently unknown; however, officials assert that the attack, which was detected by the Department of Defense's Cyber Command, has not impacted operations in Afghanistan.

“The department takes its responsibility to protect its information seriously and continuously implements measures to safeguard it,” stated a representative of the State Department.
