If Biden Does Not Withdraw His Troops, The Taliban's Response Will Be Unavoidable: Taliban Spokesman Threatens the U.S.

The U.S. and the U.K. will not receive additional time to conduct evacuations. This was stated by Suhail Shaheen, a representative of the extremist movement Taliban. He emphasized that the Taliban will not agree to extend the deadlines for the withdrawal of armed forces from Afghanistan for these countries. If foreign troops do not leave the country by the deadline, the movement will respond accordingly.

“This is a red line. President Biden has announced that they will withdraw all troops by August 31. Therefore, if they extend their presence, it means they are prolonging the occupation, even though there is no need for that. If they continue the occupation, there will be a response,” said the Taliban representative.

U.S. President Joe Biden had previously announced that since mid-August, 28,000 people have been evacuated from Afghanistan, and since July, 33,000 have been evacuated. It is noteworthy that the Taliban had intensified operations while American troops were withdrawing from Afghanistan, capturing new cities day by day, and entered Kabul on August 15. Hours later, the country's president, Ashraf Ghani, resigned and fled the country. The country's Vice President Amrullah Saleh declared that in the absence of the president, according to the constitution, he assumes the responsibilities of the leader. He called for armed resistance against the Taliban.
