Fire in Artsakh's Tonashen Community Forests Remains Uncontrolled

For over a week, a fire that broke out in the forests of the Tonashen community in the Martakert region has not been extinguished. Firefighting efforts are being carried out continuously for 24 hours. This information was reported by the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh.

Thanks to the firefighters, the blaze has receded from the area near the "Yerits Mankants" monastery and has moved to a more geologically complex zone.

Mainly, fire has affected bush growth, oak trees, wild pear trees, and mulberry trees. Initial reports indicate that approximately 60 hectares of land have been burned.

Firefighting operations are ongoing. The State Emergency Service's Rescue Forces Admin and local rescuers from the Martakert regional division, led by division head Arayik Danielyan, have been added to the firefighting efforts.
