Ambulance Transporting Pregnant Woman Collides with Cargo Mercedes in Spitak: One Injured

Today, on August 23, a major traffic accident occurred in the Lori region. Around 13:50, an ambulance driven by 63-year-old Alexander Hakobyan from Tashir collided with a cargo Mercedes truck with a trailer, driven by 39-year-old Garik Hovhannisyan from Yerevan, at the 1st kilometer of the Spitak-Yerevan highway.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a passenger in the ambulance, 43-year-old Varsik Gharibyan, a resident of the Lori region, was taken to the Spitak Medical Center with bodily injuries.

Reports indicate that the ambulance is registered under the Spitak Medical Center, while the driver of the Mercedes, G. Hovhannisyan, works as a director at “BTB” LLC. The ambulance was transporting a pregnant patient from one of Yerevan’s hospitals, who fortunately was not harmed, and the injured individual was a relative of hers.
