Activists to Enter Quarantine Before Meeting with Putin

Thirty-five activists from the Russian party "United Russia," who are participating in the State Duma elections, will enter quarantine before meeting with President Vladimir Putin. Among those in quarantine will be Elena Shmelova, who is on the federal list and is the head of the "Talent and Success" foundation.

This information is indirectly confirmed by the fact that all events involving Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu have been moved online for the upcoming week, according to RBC.

It is noted that the practice of quarantining those who "submit" to Putin has been in use since the beginning of last year, as reported by the publication, highlighting that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, while trying to evade the question, partially acknowledged that such measures exist.

The BBC’s Russian service also discovered in March that a range of elite institutions employ quarantine measures for selected individuals. Moreover, billions of rubles from the state budget are allocated for these quarantine regimes.
