Vancetyan Sues CP Member of Parliament

The leader of the "I Have Honor" faction and former director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vancetyan, has filed a civil lawsuit against the MP of the "Civil Contract" party, Gagik (Gurgen) Melkonyan.

According to information published in the judicial information system, Arthur Vancetyan demands that the court obligate G. Melkonyan to publicly deny the defamatory statements and also to publish the denial text, compensating for the damage caused to his honor and dignity.

The lawsuit was submitted yesterday, on August 19. Vancetyan's representative is Artavazd Kiviryann. So far, it has not been assigned to any judge.

It should be noted that in July, Gagik Melkonyan stated on Public Television, “Vancetyan went and ran away. Going and coming back was the same. They reached there, gathered the weapons, knowing that there were many abandoned weapons there, they collected and brought them to Armenia. Their goal was to go and bring back weapons.”
