New Details on the Murder of 3 Soldiers: Their Comrade Arrested

On August 19, 2021, around 01:30, the bodies of conscripts Gor Artak Sahakyan, Levon Rafayel Harutyunyan, and Murad Ashot Muradyan were found in the barracks of the combat position at a military unit of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, showing signs of gunshot wounds.

A criminal case was initiated by the second garrison investigative department of the Military Investigation Main Department of the RA Investigative Committee under the first part of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to murder.

On the same day, around 17:40, a comrade of the deceased soldiers, also a conscript at the same military unit, A.H., was arrested on suspicion of intentionally causing the deaths of the mentioned soldiers.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
