Another Earthquake Recorded
On August 17, at 09:43 local time (05:43 GMT), the seismic monitoring network of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 in the border area between Georgia and Armenia, 13 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 kilometers, with geographical coordinates of 41.17° N latitude and 43.95° E longitude.
The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone reached 4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra and Ghazanchi in the Shirak region of Armenia with an intensity of 2-3, as well as in the village of Metzavan in the Lori region with an intensity of 2.
It is noteworthy that just days ago, another earthquake was recorded near the village of Bavra, which was followed by 70 aftershocks.
