COVID-19 Has Become Younger: The Disease Has Acquired a Faster Development Rate, Ministry of Health

The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “A strong warning: COVID-19 has become younger. The disease has acquired a faster development rate. There is a tendency for the disease to affect younger individuals. Currently, there are 2 patients aged 22 and 28 hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Surb Grigor Lusavorich Hospital, both testing positive for COVID-19. They are connected to artificial ventilation devices. The patients’ condition is extremely critical. Statistics show that, worldwide, the incidence of severe cases and hospitalization among individuals under 50, including children, has increased sharply due to COVID-19.”
