Dispute in Courtyard of Apartment Building: Gunshots Reported, One Injured

On August 18, 2021, at 23:20, a report was received regarding a dispute and gunshots in the courtyard of an apartment building on Bakuntsi Street in Yerevan.

The following day, at 00:05, the "Heratsi Number 1" University Hospital reported that a 50-year-old resident of Yerevan had been admitted with a diagnosis of "gunshot wound to the right thigh."

A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Yerevan Investigation Department for the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts under Part 1 of Article 112 and Part 1 of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code.

An examination of the crime scene was conducted, during which biological traces, a bullet, and other items were discovered and collected. The investigation is ongoing. Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the incident and ensure an objective, comprehensive inquiry.
