Sotk Enemy Fires Randomly: Mine Employees Being Evacuated at Present
Employees of the Sotk gold mine are currently being evacuated for safety reasons. This was reported to 24News by Ruza Grigoryan, a representative of GeoProMining Gold, who noted that the enemy continues to fire randomly.
“In the border zone, which passes through the area of the mine, there are random gunshots. We are completely halting operations for safety reasons,” she stated.
It is worth noting that work at the mine was halted yesterday due to the enemy's activity, with the night shift being evacuated, but operations resumed this morning.
The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Gegharkunik region had escalated the day before. Around 18:10, Azerbaijan once again resorted to provocation by firing at Armenian positions with various calibers of firearms. As a result of the response actions taken by the Armenian side, the enemy has at least 3 casualties and injuries.
