Opel Collides with Parked Truck on Sevan-Ijevan Highway

On August 17, at 03:32, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a call about a traffic accident near the 'Orsetto' beach area, reporting that there was a trapped victim.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the regional emergency management department rushed to the scene. It was determined that at the 67th km of the Sevan-Ijevan highway, an Opel vehicle (driver: A.A., born in 1993) collided with a parked MAZ truck with a trailer (driver: N.A.). The driver of the Opel was trapped inside the vehicle.

Rescuers used specialized equipment to extract A.A. from the car and brought him to an ambulance. The injured party was hospitalized at the Sevan city medical center, where doctors assessed his condition as moderately serious.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicles and shut off the gas cylinder valves.
