Explosion in a Toyota Camry in front of Malatia Market

Today, on August 16, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 13:40, under still unclear circumstances, an explosion took place in a Toyota Camry with license plate 08 SG 088 at the intersection of Raffi and Sebastia streets in the Malatia Sebastia administrative district.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, five individuals have been hospitalized as a result of the explosion, with citizens being the first to provide assistance. Prior to the arrival of Yerevan's 1-03 emergency medical team, a 45-year-old local resident administered first aid to the injured on the scene.
