Soldier Killed by Sniper Fire in the Yeraskh Area: Ministry of Defense

On the morning of August 16, Azerbaijani armed forces units provoked a confrontation in the Nakhchivan direction along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, specifically in the Yeraskh region. Notably, around 09:50, a soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces, Senior Private Vahan Dimiki Tatosyan, born in 1975, sustained a fatal gunshot wound from an enemy sniper.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy grief of this loss and expresses solidarity with the family members, relatives, and colleagues of the fallen soldier.

As a result of responsive actions taken by the Armenian side, the enemy has sustained losses.
