How Gagik Tsarukyan Managed to Release His Son from Service in the Armenian Army

According to the newspaper "Zhoghavorh," Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, has successfully managed to exempt his son from serving in the Armenian army. As we tried to find out more details on how this was achieved, it was revealed that recently the deadline for his son, Nver Tsarukyan’s, exemption from military service had expired.

The Tsarukyan family managed to come to an agreement that, with the consent of the Russian side, Nver Tsarukyan was to serve in a Russian military unit, allowing him to return home more easily and have a more relaxed regime. However, this arrangement began to unravel at one point, as an employee at the RA Ministry of Defense's recruitment office insisted that Nver Tsarukyan must participate in a lottery to draw the number of the military unit where he would serve.

When the Tsarukyan family understood that this could potentially place Nver Tsarukyan in any other military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, they activated a backup plan. Nver Tsarukyan refused to participate in the lottery and presented the ministry personnel with a medical document stating that he was unfit for service. Immediately, Nver Tsarukyan was taken to the "Astghik" Medical Center owned by businessman Samvel Aleksanyan for examination.

Here, through well-known methods or perhaps without them, the Tsarukyans managed to obtain a medical certificate with symptoms that resulted in Nver Tsarukyan being exempted from serving in the Armenian army for a period of three years.
