I believe one of the issues is that it is associated with the situation created at the border in the last three months, which naturally raises concerns.

From my perspective, these exercises serve several important purposes. As a result of the gatherings, some participants, especially officers or those who may be appointed to officer positions after a short course, will be offered contracts to engage them in the regular army.

Secondly, one of the steps to enhance the combat readiness of the armed forces in the post-war period is the organization of such gatherings, which should have clear objectives and substantial content.

Thirdly, notifications were distributed to people during the war who have been out of the country for 10-15 years. This is crucial for updating the presence-absence records and bringing the lists to an appropriate level.

Fourthly, without a combat-ready reserve, the Armenian armed forces cannot fulfill some of their duties, regardless of the reforms implemented or the weapons acquired.

Fifthly, gradually, alongside changes in the programs of similar gatherings, the number of engaging reservists should be increased, with a greater focus on narrow professional groups, Armenia's primary security threats, and possible directions of escalation.
