Covid-19 Update: Statistics for August 16

As of 11:00 AM on August 16, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease have reached 234,814, of which 222,801 have recovered, and 4,702 have resulted in death. Currently, 6,175 patients are receiving treatment for the coronavirus disease.

A total of 1,440,147 tests have been conducted. Yesterday, 5,415 tests were performed, resulting in 256 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease. We recorded 188 recoveries and 7 deaths. The previous day, there was one recorded death in which the patient had contracted the coronavirus; however, the cause of death was attributed to another illness. The total number of such cases stands at 1,136.
