Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Heads to Turkey

Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov is traveling to Turkey at the invitation of Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar. According to reports from Azerbaijani media, Hasanov will participate in the IDEF-2021 international defense products exhibition in Istanbul.

In addition to the exhibition, the Azerbaijani minister is expected to have several meetings with Turkish officials. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 17 to 20 at the TÜYAP Center in Istanbul. It is organized by Turkey's Ministry of National Defense under the auspices of the presidential administration.

With the number of participating companies, IDEF ranks third among 32 defense exhibitions held worldwide. The exhibition will showcase a wide variety of products from 1,236 defense companies from 53 countries, of which 536 will be Turkish. It is expected that 154 delegations from 79 countries will attend the exhibition, where numerous negotiations will take place, new contracts will be signed, and new technologies will be exhibited.
