Car Fire on Abovyan-Jrabers Road: One Dead, Two Injured

On August 13, at 04:48, the Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a vehicle was on fire on the road leading to the village of Dzoraghbyur. A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that at the 5th km of the Abovyan-Jrabers road, a 'Mercedes-Benz' vehicle (driver A.H., born in 1994) had veered off the road, collided with the roadside barrier, ended up about 10 meters in the field, and caught fire. The passenger, M.M. (born in 1997), died en route to the hospital. Before rescuers could reach the scene, the driver and another passenger, A.T. (born in 1995), were hospitalized in the hospital of Abovyan city, where doctors assessed their condition as satisfactory.

The fire was contained at 05:21 and extinguished by 05:46. The vehicle was destroyed, and approximately 1000 square meters of vegetation nearby were burned.
