1571 Grams of Gold Jewelry Hidden from Customs Control Found
The anti-smuggling department continues its unwavering fight against the illegal importation of goods into the territory of the Republic of Armenia, as reported by the Public Revenue Committee's information and public relations department.
Recently, while acting on information received from the Eastern Customs Office, the anti-smuggling department officials, in cooperation with the National Security Service officers, stopped a vehicle operated by Armenian citizen H.M. on the Interstate Road between Ijevan and Noyemberyan. During the inspection, they discovered 1571 grams of gold jewelry that had been imported into the republic by concealing it from customs control in the possession of passengers N.A. and K.M.
Materials have been prepared at the anti-smuggling department of the Public Revenue Committee under the features of a violation of Article 201 of the Republic of Armenia's Customs Code, which have been submitted to the legal department of the Public Revenue Committee. The 1571 grams of gold jewelry found, as direct objects of the violation of customs regulations, have been seized and placed into customs control zone.
