Damage in Different Administrative Districts of Yerevan Due to Wind
On August 12, from 08:50 to 17:20, the National Center for Crisis Management received reports that roofs, trees, advertising boards, and rainwater pipes were damaged in various administrative districts of Yerevan due to strong winds that occurred on August 11.
Emergency teams from the Yerevan City Fire and Rescue Department and the special rescue group from the Rescue Forces Administration were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers carried out reinforcing and dismantling operations, removed tree branches and damaged sheets from the passable sections of roads, secured areas, and conducted patrols.
It is worth noting that on August 11, from 18:10 to 21:30, the National Center for Crisis Management also received reports of damage in Yerevan's various districts from the same strong winds. Again, teams were sent to the scenes to address the damage and ensure safety.
At 17:53 on August 11, the Ararat regional crisis management center received information that a tree had fallen onto the roadway on Mikayel Sparapet Street in the village of Sis due to strong winds. A response team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene, where they successfully removed the tree from the roadway.
