Tragic Car Accident: Opel Crashes into Bridge Concrete Pillar, Father, Mother, and Child Killed

A tragic car accident occurred today in the Kotayk region. At approximately 17:50, an Opel Corsa left the roadway under unknown circumstances and crashed into a concrete pillar of a bridge on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 17 km mark, as reported by shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, three people died, with two pronounced dead at the scene and one succumbing to injuries on the way to the hospital. Rescue teams were required to use specialized equipment to extract one victim from the vehicle.

A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with part 3 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia at the Abovyan investigative department. The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identity of the driver and the deceased.
