Fire Erupts Near Agarak Village and Azerbaijan Border

On August 9, at 13:02, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a fire has again erupted near Agarak village and the border with the Republic of Azerbaijan, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Three firefighting teams from the regional rescue department and one water truck from the 'Azhdarak' company have been dispatched to the scene. Preliminary data indicates that approximately 2 hectares of vegetation are burning.

It is noteworthy that on August 8, at 17:27, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center was informed of a fire that had erupted in the same area. One firefighting team was sent to the scene and it was discovered that around 6 hectares of vegetation were ablaze, of which 4 hectares were on the Armenian side.

The fire was contained on August 9 at 07:15 and was extinguished by 08:05, having burned about 6 hectares of vegetation.
