Fire Contained in Agarak Village and Azerbaijan Border Area

The firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia have contained a fire that broke out in the Agarak village and the border area with Azerbaijan in the Syunik region. This information has been reported by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"At 13:02 on August 9, a call was received at the Syunik regional crisis management center reporting that a fire had broken out again in the Agarak village and the border area with the Republic of Azerbaijan. Three firefighting units from the regional rescue department and one water tanker from 'Ajdarak' LLC were dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained at 21:23. Approximately 10 hectares of vegetation have burned," the statement read.
