VIDEO: The World's Largest Tire Dump is Burning in Kuwait

A fire has broken out at the world's largest landfill, covering an area of 600,000 square meters, in Kuwait. This was reported by ‘Vesti’ on August 3. The landfill is located near the city of Sulabiya in Kuwait. Currently, the fire's location does not take up much space, but its spread poses a threat of an ecological disaster to the country.

In total, the landfill holds approximately 52 million used tires. Since November 2020, Kuwait's Public Authority for Environmental Protection has been working on how to recycle old tires, as they have been stored in this form for over 30 years. Fires occur regularly at this landfill.
