VIDEO: Militants Attack Afghan Defense Minister's Home, Casualties Reported

On the evening of August 3, an explosion rocked Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, followed by gunfire. This incident occurred near the residence of acting Defense Minister Bismillah Mohammadi. AFP news agency reported this, citing sources from Afghanistan's security services.

It has been noted that a vehicle packed with explosives, operated by a suicide bomber, detonated. Following the explosion, armed individuals (initially reported as four) stormed into Mohammadi’s house, engaging in a shootout with security forces.

At the time of the attack, the minister and his family were not at home. The assault on the official's residence lasted for about four hours. Four people were reported dead, and another 20 sustained injuries.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
