Death Toll Reaches 302 in China Floods, Over 50 Missing

The death toll from flooding caused by torrential rains in China's central Henan province has reached 302, with over 50 people reported missing. According to TASS news agency, this information was reported by Chinese state television.

On July 16, torrential rains unleashed devastation in Henan, triggering severe floods. By July 29, local authorities announced that nearly 14 million residents in the province had been affected by the natural disaster. The floodwaters have engulfed more than 1 million hectares of agricultural land and have damaged or destroyed 840,000 residential buildings.
