Firefighters Struggle to Control Wildfires Across 23 Provinces in Turkey

Over the past two days, forest fires have erupted in 23 different provinces of Turkey, according to Ermenihaber.

Firefighting operations involve 3 firefighting aircraft, 9 drones, 38 firefighting helicopters, 620 fire engines, as well as many water transport vehicles, tanks, tractors, and sprinklers. More than 4,000 firefighters are joined by numerous residents and some military units.

As of now, 4 Turkish citizens have died as a result of the fires, and 58 others have been hospitalized with various injuries and burns. Hundreds of residents have been evacuated from many communities. Thousands of local and foreign tourists have been relocated from hotels near the fires to safer areas.

Comprehensive information regarding the material damages caused by the fires has not yet been reported.
