Gunshots Fired in Gegharkunik Province
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, gunshots were fired today, July 29, in Gegharkunik Province. Operational information was received at the division for juvenile affairs and prevention of domestic violence of the Vardenis police department, which was confirmed through actions taken with officers from the Gegharkunik regional police department.
As per this information, on July 29, around 02:00 AM, a dispute over household matters occurred between local resident Vahan G. and Ara A. from Vardenis city in the village of Shatjrek. Following the argument, when Ara A. attempted to leave in his ГАЗель vehicle, Vahan G. fired shots from a gun towards the ГАЗель.
By noon, an operational group of the Gegharkunik regional police department, led by Chief Arthur Mkrtchyan, along with the operational group of the Vardenis police department, headed by Chief Garib Hovsepyan, managed to detain Vahan G.
According to information from a photojournalist, the police found an "AKM" type gun inside a ГАЗ 3110 parked in the yard of Vahan G.'s house in Shatjrek village. Additionally, from under another parked ГАЗ 3110 vehicle at the same location, Vahan G. presented three gun magazines containing over 60 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber.
A senior forensic expert worked at the scene, and the investigation was led by senior investigator Gasparyan, who discovered two fired cartridges at the scene. Upon the investigator's order, the ГАЗель vehicle, which had visible bullet marks, was taken to the secured area of the Vardenis police department.
The argument was concerning household issues, during which mutual physical injuries were inflicted, leading to Ara A. sustaining bodily injuries to his face. Investigative materials are being prepared at the Vardenis police department.
